Assessment and Rehabilitation of Sanitary Sewer and StormWater Systems
Learn how to identify real problems that impact sewer asset performance
Design - condition assessment - analysis - rehabilitation
______________
Advanced LIVE Course: 2-3 March, 2024
COURSE OVERVIEW
Sanitary and stormwater Sewer systems are constantly under stress. Any initial design and /or construction deficiency make it worst and lead to hydraulic malfunctions or structural defects. Planned maintenance and operation are necessary to help early detect failure that cause potential sewage service. Inspection routing as well as advanced analytics identify real problems that impact sewer operations, set asset performance Utilities managers need a rehabilitation program to keep their sewer system functioning properly and keep an satisfactory level of service.
Course Description
The course allows participants to expand the principles of sewer system condition assessment and rehabilitation and acquire the best practices and techniques to improve the performance of these networks as well. It provides them with the tools they need to analysis defects, plan inspection studies and thus design appropriate rehabilitation projects. It also highlights the need to optimize operation and maintenance of sewer systems to eliminate potential health and environmental risks.
Effective Operation and Maintenance (O&M) as well as Capital improvement Program (CIP) planning and update are also discussed. On more practical level, this course examines sewer condition assessment techniques and discusses preventive maintenance and rehabilitation methods to cost-effectively extend sewer network life cycle. Current technologies used for the structural and functional assessment of water systems will be presented. National and international standards for the coding of failures will also be detailed. A hydraulic modeling reminder will be processed to evaluate the functional condition of the network.
The course also discusses the operation and analysis of inspection results, as well as the use of specialized software with a focus on large-scale projects and advanced and cutting-edge sewer rehabilitation methods.
Learning is reinforced by illustrations and case studies. Attendees will discover the numerous issues to consider when analyzing and planning a sewer condition assessment and planning sewer inspection and rehabilitation project as well. They will participate in a series of problem-solving exercises that will help them to understand the principles learned in this course.
